Royal University of Dhaka (RUD) wants to bring an entirely new outlook to university education. Our motto is to produce a creative & productive new generation of educated youth who will devote themselves to build a knowledge based society Education Philosophy of RUD is not simply to produce more business graduates, IT specialists or accountants. We are committed to preparing students for careers and life, educating graduates to be professionally skilled, culturally vibrant, creative and socially responsible.

The Government has recently encouraged private initiatives particularly in higher education. Beginning in early 1990s, the number of private universities has already crossed the 50 in number. This is a significant development in forging public-private partnership in providing what was traditionally considered a public good. RUD has been setup at this critical juncture with commitment to provide quality education to the students. Therefore, students should be receptive, interactive and productive, to benefit fully from the academic program and other facilities of this university.
