• Dr. Md Abu Bakar Siddique, widely known as Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, is a well known figure in the newspaper world.
• Dr. Siddiqui completed his secondary education at KPB High School in Dhaka, achieving the Secondary School Certificate (SSC). He continued his studies and obtained a First Division in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College. Following this, he gained admission to Dhaka University, where he initially pursued an Honors Program in English Literature. However, driven by his aspiration to excel in all facets of life, he decided to switch subjects. Seeking excellence, he enrolled in the newly introduced'Bachelor of Education (Honors’) program at DIU, departing from the English Department. With unwavering dedication, he emerged as the top-ranked student, earning a first-class distinction in the honors examination and being honored with a gold medal. His dissertation focused on the development of the national education system and the influential role of mass media. Subsequently, he earned a Ph.D. degree.
• Driven by his passion for knowledge, Dr. Siddiqui pursued further academic achievements. He successfully obtained Master's degrees in Islamic Studies. Currently, he is a Master's student in the Department of Japanese Studies at Dhaka University, expanding his expertise in this field.
• Dr. Dipu Siddiqui has contributed extensively to the academic community with his research work, which has been recognized and published in over 16 reputable national and international research journals. Notably, his publications have even appeared in Scopus, one of the foremost global platforms for scholarly research. This achievement reflects the high caliber of Dr. Siddiqui's work and his commitment to advancing knowledge within his field. He is also a member of Editorial Board of ‘ Journal of ELT and Education’ .
• In addition to his role as chairman, Dr. Siddiqui holds prestigious positions within the academic realm. He serves as a valued member of the Academic Council at the Royal University of Dhaka and also chairs the Curriculum Development Committee of the Department of Education. Dr. Siddiqui is serving as the General Secretary of 'Kathashilpi Shawkat Osman Smriti Parishad', the top social and cultural organization of Bangladesh. Due to his unquestionable integrity, commitment and dynamic leadership, he has been elected General Secretary for the third consecutive time and is taking the organization forward. His participation in the 1989 World Scout Jamboree earned him a bronze medal and a high efficiency badge.
• Dr. Siddiqui's multifaceted talents extend beyond journalism. He is an avid traveler and an accomplished writer of poetry and columns. His foray into the world of filmmaking brought him recognition as a cinematographer, working on projects involving singing, acting, advertising, and film production. Under the tutelage of legendary filmmaker Guruji Jean-Nesar. Dr Siddiqui produced short films and documentaries. His creative vision and skills were showcased as the creative director and cinematographer (unit-II) of the full-length children's film 'Panchasangee,' in which he also acted. Additionally, he has worked on commercials, modeling for motorcycle security alarm a sister concern of  Econo GQ Ballpen Industry. Dr. Siddiqui has also been actively involved in cultural and political seminars, along with hosting talk shows on various channels.
• Dr. Siddiqui has garnered a remarkable reputation as the accomplished chairman of the Education Department at the Royal University of Dhaka. His unwavering dedication and remarkable achievements have allowed him to hold this position with confidence for over a decade.
