Assalamu Alaikum.
At long last, a moment of great relief and joy has arrived for the B.Ed and M.Ed students of Royal University of Dhaka and all private universities with UGC-approved programs. Their rightful entitlement has finally been restored.
On behalf of the Department of Education, heartfelt congratulations to the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and all others who have worked tirelessly and made significant sacrifices to ensure the reinstatement of this legitimate right.
We sincerely hope that the unethical deprivation, confusion, and unjust treatment faced by B.Ed students of various private universities—including Royal University of Dhaka—despite having UGC approval, will now come to a permanent end.
We are delighted to share that:
Ms. Sadia, a distinguished B.Ed graduate of Royal University of Dhaka, has earned admission with a scholarship into the prestigious M.Ed program at Columbia University, one of the world’s top-ranked institutions.
Mr. Sushil Kumar Roy, holding both B.Ed and M.Ed degrees from Royal University, is serving with great distinction as a trainer at the United Nations.
Mr. Kazi Ilias is also working with honor and excellence at the same institution.
Several other brilliant graduates of Royal University are contributing with dignity in globally reputed organizations, proudly upholding the university’s reputation. We are truly proud of them.
We believe that the longstanding confusion surrounding the B.Ed programs in private universities will now be resolved. Students can confidently enroll in the B.Ed and M.Ed programs at Royal University of Dhaka, fully assured of receiving all government-recognized benefits.
Our empathy and solidarity go out to all students who suffered delays from March 2023 to December 2025. You are our ambassadors.
We request all graduates of the Department of Education to share this important notice with their workplaces and colleagues, spreading the message of truth, justice, and rightful recognition.
Warmest congratulations and best wishes to everyone.
Sincerely,
Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui
Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
