The Orientation Program and Fresher’s Reception of the newly admitted students for Spring Semester 2015 in different academic programs of Royal University of Dhaka (RUD) were held at the RUD Students’ Lounge on 14 February 2015. The objective of the program was to welcome the new students and orient them to the university facilities, faculty members, administrative staffs and academic system. Dr. H B M Iqbal, Hon’ble Vice Chairman, BOT, RUD graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He expressed his dream, expectation and future plan of the university. His inspirational and motivational speech encouraged the students. Mr. Kazi Abdul Mazid, CEO, Premier Group and Mr. Ehsan Khashru, Advisor, Premier Bank Ltd. attended the program as Special Guest. Colonel (Retd) Prof. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Registrar welcomed the students to the campus and assured them a comfortable and useful stay at RUD. Among others, Prof. Manik Kanti Mazumder, Dean (Acting), Associate Dean, Heads of the Departments and Sections were also present in the program and spoke on various aspects and facilities of the university.
Prof. Dr. Engr. Hasan Imtiaz Chowdhury, the Vice Chancellor of RUD presided over the program. He urged the newly admitted students to make the best use of the University resources.
