Royal University of Dhaka RUD Welcomes Newly Appointed Vice Chancellor(acting )Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.The Board of Trustees, along with students, teachers, officers, and staff of the Royal University of Dhaka, warmly welcomed the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam. Today, Professor Islam, formerly of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, formally assumed office as the Vice Chancellor of the university.

A brief introductory ceremony was held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in the university seminar hall to mark the occasion. Among the distinguished attendees were Jamal G. Ahmed, HBM Shoave Ahmed Rana, Mustafa Talukder, and Zaved Omar Kabi—Honorable Members of the Board of Trustees of the Royal University of Dhaka.

Other notable participants included Mustafa Talukder, and Zaved Omar Kabir, Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and Acting Controller of Examinations; Md. Moshiur Rahman, Deputy Registrar and Registrar (In-Charge); Associate Professor Murad Hasan, Head of the Business Department; Finance Director Mahmuda Begum; Assistant Professor Aminul Ashraf of the Hotel & Tourism Department; Assistant Professor Amena Khatun; Lecturer Sharmin Akter of the CSE Department; Lecturers Asadul Islam, Swapan Mia, Abrar Ahmed, Md. Arif Hossain, and Mitanur Rahman. Additionally, officials including Suhrid Zaman, IT Manager Md. Shamsul Islam, Government Examination Controller Md. Abdur Rahman, and Md. Tanvir Ahmed joined members of all departments in extending greetings to the newly appointed Vice Chancellor.

In his remarks, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception. He pledged to work with utmost dedication for the advancement of the university and called for collective cooperation from all stakeholders. He expressed optimism that with coordinated efforts and effective implementation, the university would surely achieve its desired goals.

Board of Trustees Member Mr. Jamal G. Ahmed welcomed the Vice Chancellor with flowers and thanked all teachers, officers, and staff for their presence. He expressed hope that under the leadership of the new Vice Chancellor, the Royal University of Dhaka would be shaped into a model educational institution.
Another distinguished Board Member, HBM Shoave Soheb Ahmed Rana, also conveyed congratulations to the new Vice Chancellor and urged everyone to work together to guide the university along the right path towards excellence.
