Seminar on Effective Classroom Teaching 2016


As a part of the teaching mainstreaming initiative of the faculty members of RUD, a three-day seminar was held for the first time in the history of RUD. The long-awaited seminar started on 02 May 2016. The Inaugural session was graced by Colonel (Retd) Professor Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Vice Chancellor of RUD by presenting a very creative and innovative paper on The Fundamentals of Modern Teaching and TSF Guidelines. All the Faculty Members and Departmental Heads actively participated in that session. In his speech, he almost covered all the modern techniques and tricks that how a teacher can make the classroom teaching more interesting and effective, how a teacher can motivate the students to come to the class regularly and how a teacher can ensure quality education by preparing lesson plans and delivering the class lectures effectively and so on. His presentation was very helpful for all the teachers who really want to take teaching as a profession and want to succeed in career. On 04 May 2016, two more faculty members from Department of Education Mr. Md. Solaiman Hossain, Asst. Prof and Mr. Md. Abu Bakar Siddique (Dipu) presented 02 papers in two sessions. Mr. Tawhid Ahmed Chowdhury, Department of Business Administration presented 02 papers on 07 May 2016 in two sessions. All of them actually focused on the same theme in a different way with different logics and myths. One of the prime objectives of the entire seminar was how to ensure quality education by following a proper teaching guideline. Finally, the three-day seminar was officially ended up with a delighting and motivational speech of the Vice Chancellor on 07 May 2016.
